 the  legend 

From the voice of the wise elders, guardians of mezcal, I discovered that this elixir is without a doubt the spirit of the maguey. From this powerful plant, daughter of the sun and the earth, when it is baked at the right moment of maturation, fermented in a traditional way in wooden vats and distilled in copper stills, a delicious, pure and unfading mezcal is obtained. Flavors and aromas typical of the maguey and the land from where it is born and grows, which when tasting it we are permeating the palate with the indelible sweetness of its fine notes. 

An old man told me, while proudly offering me a gourd filled with what he considered his most precious treasure: “Drink this mezcal with kisses, it is the drink of the gods. This translucent drink is another child of Mother Earth who, like you and me, keeps, as in all of us, the true flavors and aromas of the land where we live ”.
I listened to him dumbfounded as he continued; "It is part of our soul and that is why we must drink it with love and appreciate each sip trying to discover the true flavors and aromas of the maguey". How to forget the wisdom of his words, how to forget that first "Kiss to Heaven", elixir source of flavors and inspiration to safeguard ancient traditions, protect Mother Earth, its peoples and its magueys.

Producing this mezcal with generations of

tradition, Conde creates a perfectly balanced mezcal. Part of a co-op of mezcal producers, in a town called Nombre de Dios, in a region called "el mezquital." Alfredo Conde makes a mezcal that not only shows his delicate touch, but captures the regions terroir.
